Salary to £70,000 + final salary pension + 27 days annual leave + 8 statutory days
The Planning and Performance Directorate is integral to a wide ranging change management programme at Salford, which includes the reorganisation of the University’s professional and administrative services based on values of customer service, efficiency, innovation and enterprise.
The Director of Planning and Performance will be responsible for developing and supporting the University’s corporate planning processes, including high level strategic, business and operational planning and the monitoring and review of performance and progress.
Other responsibilities include the establishment of comprehensive analytical, research and statistical services and policy advice to support the enhancement of organisational effectiveness, service delivery, organisational development and the discharge of the University’s external reporting obligations.
The Division will play a key role in supporting the academic leadership and management of the University to assure the continued enhancement and management of academic quality and standards and associated processes of internal and external audit and review. The University aspires to consolidate and extend the culture of a “learning organisation” corporately and the new Director will play a key leadership role in achieving that objective.
In the context of the University’s ambitious change programme, the Director will work closely with the leadership and management of the University and in particular with the Head of Change Management, to support the University’s change management agenda through effective monitoring, performance review and advice on international best practice.
This role will be key to assuring the strategic development of the University through the identification and focus on key priorities to achieve essential benefits whilst managing risk.
