Household Outbound Sales Advisor

Department Household Outbound Contact Centre
Starting Salary £13,200 up to £14,000 p.a. plus performance related bonus. Through reviews and development, you will be able to work up to Senior Advisor level, dependent upon performance against Target Measures
Induction Comprehensive 4 weeks Training, Monday to Friday 9am–5pm plus a further support period of 2 weeks
(We are unable to honour holidays during the training period)
Hours of work Primarily 9 – 5pm Monday to Friday, 36¼ hours per week
One 9-7 shift every week. This means there is an early
finish on the Friday at 2.35pm.

Description:

This is a role where you are expected to contact potential new customers by telephone in order to quote and to sell our Home Insurance policies (Buildings and Contents). We have no current relationship with the customers you will be calling.

How we gain the customers’ information is by working in partnership with other companies (our ‘Affinity Partners’) who provide RIAS with data on their customers. You will contact these customers usually a month before their renewal date. We want people that can use their sales skills to ‘tempt’ the customers away from their existing insurer by overcoming objections and by offering savings and increased insurance cover for their home.

Your Team Manager will ensure that you are supported and developed in the role through coaching and motivation to ensure you gain the required skills and that targets are met or exceeded by identifying your strengths and development areas.

What are we looking for?:

This role is all about hunger and desire to achieve. You will find that you have to be very thick skinned in order to deal with the amount of rejection in the role as your customers will initially say ‘NO’. If you have a passion to sell and enjoy the satisfaction of turning customers around, this is a role that would suit you. You must be able to be frank and direct with your customers to close sales effectively. You only have one chance to convert a call to a sale so persistence is a must!

This can be a financially rewarding role with an open-ended commission scheme which allows you to earn generous monthly bonuses. The more effort you put in, the more you will earn.
