Katja Fletcher – Audit & Survey Team Leader

I started at RBSIF 6 years ago (November 2001) in the Customer Records department. I had had no prior knowledge within the business industry as I had worked as a nanny. I did various tasks within customer records. After about 3months in customer records I was allocated the job at their helpdesk. After doing this for a while it I became my job to train people in that role.

After about a year and a half I moved departments and became the sales assistant to 18 sales people in what use to be called the South East Region. (June 2003) This included supporting the sales people as well as collating various reports to the head of Sales.
After a year I applied for an audit role within South East and was lucky enough to get the job. (August 2004)

I was a full time auditor until October 2005 when my audit manager went on Maternity leave. After this I was asked to come and assist the team leader at the time a few days a week and continue to audit the other days of the week. As our team grew this became harder and harder to do so I ended up being in the office full time. The Team Leader at the time moved jobs and the manager decided not to come back so a new manager was appointed. After this the job of the Team Leader came up and I applied for it and got the position officially in January 2007.
