Directions to the UK Operating Centre General Location
The UK Operating Centre is located a few minutes walk away from Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre, just south of the crossing between Brampton Road (the A527) and Sandy Lane.
By Car
Newcastle under Lyme is situated just off junction 15 of the M6. There is no general parking available at the Centre. The nearest public car park is on King Street (80p for two hours, £2 for a full day) – a 5-to 10-minute walk away.
By Train
The nearest station is Stoke-on-Trent, served by Virgin Trains (on the West Coast main line) and Central Trains.
From the station, you can get to the Centre either by taxi or by bus.
By Bus
From bus stop E, catch a bus to Newcastle Bus Station (the most frequent buses are numbers 29 and 30). From there, you can either walk to the Centre (about 10 minutes), or, from stand 8, take a number 99 to the May Bank stop, just after the Brampton Road junction with Sandy Lane. The Centre is just before the junction, on the south side of Brampton Road.
By Taxi
From one of the station’s taxi ranks (to your left after exiting the station; the main rank is just past the main station building), costing around £5. Some taxi drivers are familiar with the RBS office; if not, mention that it’s just south of the junction of Brampton Road and Sandy Lane.
