Pfizer is the world's largest research-based pharmaceutical company, employing approximately 90,000 colleagues in 180 countries. We have been operating in the UK for the last 50 years and have more than 4,000 staff.
The company is divided into three divisions, which work closely together to help people and animals live longer and healthier lives:
Worldwide Pharmaceutical Operations (WPO)
Based at Walton Oaks, Surrey, the Worldwide Pharmaceutical Operations works with customers, including the NHS, to provide a wide range of medicines to the UK healthcare market.
Pfizer Animal Health (PAH)
Based at Walton Oaks, Surrey, Pfizer Animal Health applies the same level of sales and marketing expertise as our human pharmaceutical business. Pfizer Animal Health focuses on medicines and vaccines for livestock and companion animals.
Pfizer Global Research & Development (PGRD)
Our UK Research & Development operation, based at Sandwich, Kent, is part of a global network dedicated to the discovery and development of new medicines. Pfizer spends roughly £550 million in the UK alone in the search for important new medicines that may enhance human and animal health worldwide.
Pfizer seeks to demonstrate a number of core values in the way it conducts business in the UK and around the world:
Pfizer UK is separated into a number of business divisons, offering a diverse range of opportunities. We have an ethos of continual learning, which is viewed as critical to our business and your personal growth. From flexible hours to health and fitness centres, and sports and recreational opportunities, we strive to meet employees' needs for a balanced life through our facilities, services and working hours.
