External Board Members

We now seek six independent Board Members to contribute to the strategic development of the organisation as well as engagement with relevant bodies such as the Tenant Services Authority and the Department for Communities and Local Government

Candidates should offer demonstrable experience at Board level, ideally within a start up organisation. Expertise is sought across a range of core functions including finance, law, policy and stakeholder engagement. Prior knowledge of social housing and the public sector in general is advantageous but not essential. Please note that these appointments are not remunerated, although reasonable travelling expenses will be reimbursed.

Chief Executive

Leeds or Manchester

In addition to the creation of a new Board, the NTV is also seeking to appoint a Chief Executive, leading the ongoing development of the new organisation, including a small staff team. A proven leader, you will have experience of establishing or growing an organisation from early stages. Previous experience of social housing and influencing the development of government strategies is preferred. You will have worked with representative groups and boards, understanding the need for developing a clear vision and communicating this to external as well as internal stakeholders. It is likely the staff team will be based in Leeds or Manchester.

Communications Officer

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will have responsibility for developing a coherent communications programme in support of NTV’s primary aims. Working in partnership with a number of external stakeholders, government bodies and representative groups, you will ensure a joined up approach to communications; raising the profile of the organisation on a national stage.

Policy Officer

As the leading policy professional, the post holder will lead the process of developing and advising both Board and Chief Executive on policy for NTV. You’ll need to collaborate with a variety of relevant professionals in the social housing and government sectors – developing the strategic direction for the organisation.
