Norbury Manor Business & Enterprise College for Girls is an 11-18 comprehensive school in Croydon. In September 2004, Norbury Manor became the first specialist Business and Enterprise College in Croydon.

Welcome message from the Head Teacher:

This web site is the gateway to our college and I hope that you find it exciting and interesting. Here we aim to ensure that every pupil ‘Progresses to Excellence’ and this is our motto.

The college has many area’s of strength; we are a Teacher Training School; have Beacon School Status and to put the icing on the cake - Sixth Form provision was introduced last year. The most exciting development to date is becoming a specialist school. We believe this will help us develop and achieve such potential for the pupils.

I have been Head Teacher since 1997 and feel proud and priviledged to lead such a dynamic college. I came into teaching in 1975 and taught in co-educational schools until 1989. I was promoted to a Deputy Headship of a girl’s school and this was a deliberate move on my part, as I felt girls were not been given the same equal opportunities as a boys or mixed school. Although I missed teaching boys, I have been able to focus on ensuring girls reach their potential within a single sex college.

I had many hopes and dreams when I became Head Teacher at Norbury Manor and feel pleased with the progress the college has made. There is a long way to go, and I believe there are still new heights to achieve.
