The Trusts Finance Department provides a comprehensive financial management and financial accounting service. With an annual turnover of £200m, monthly cash outflows and inflows of about £16m, average cash balances of about £10m a month, capital investment planned to be £14.7m and internal and external reporting requirements, the Department is a busy and dynamic environment. The department has a key role in supporting the Divisions manage their business and to this end Divisional Finance Managers and their teams are aligned to specific Divisions. This is the key point of access to the department for budget holders.
The team is headed by Philippa Lowe, Executive Director of Finance, IM&T and Information. As well as being a member of the board and the executive team Philippa has a large portfolio including IM&T services, clinical coding and information services. Philippa has a wealth of experience in Local Government and the NHS and has been CEO in previous roles. Within Finance she is supported by a senior team of a Deputy Director, 3 Assistant Directors and a financial controller.
The finance team is playing an important part in the development of the Trust and the services it provides to its customers. Our aim is to staff the finance function with high calibre finance professionals who will actively participate in the development of the finance function and the Trust.
