I joined NatWest straight from school in 1984 and worked in a variety of roles in both back-office and customer facing positions giving me a depth of knowledge and experience.  In 1997 I moved within the Group to Lombard Business Finance and got my first company car and went 'on the road'.  This involved a direct sales role and developed my negotiating and selling skills.  Over the next few years, I had the opportunity to progress within the business and was appointed Sales Manager at one of our premier sites, Birmingham Business Centre.  This involved moving house with my family with the support of the bank.  Regrettably, I left the Group in 2004 but rejoined again in 2007.  I am now a Relationship Manager looking after brokers and introducers within Lombard's Indirect Division.

Throughout my career, the RBS Group has offered me the opportunity to take responsibility for my own development and progression and given support in the form of extensive training and guidance.  In addition, I have been able to take advantage of the many Group Employee schemes available such as Share Save and the Total Reward package which gives you access to preferential rates and terms across a whole variety of things from shopping vouchers to private healthcare.
