David Williams
Operations Director, Indirect Sales
I joined Lombard in 1984 based in South Yorkshire. During the next 6 years I progressed through a number of account servicing and debt management roles until receiving my "big break" and being appointed to my first line manager position responsible for a small account servicing team. 2 years later I was again promoted to become manager of a larger team responsible for UK wide insolvencies.
In 1995 having gained significant experience in line management and debt management I accepted an offer to broaden my skills and joined our Surrey based Head Office working in the Credit underwriting team.
Returning to South Yorkshire I was appointed to a Senior Equipment Manager role managing the disposal strategy for all returned and repossessed Lombard assets. This later developed from a team of 4 working with selected agents to a team of 25 responsible for negotiating second life hires of all Lombard's operating lease assets.
In 2007 I was fortunate enough to be short listed for the Lombard Outstanding Achievers Entrepreneurial Award and was rewarded with a fabulous 5 star all expenses 5 day trip to Boston USA. Later in 2007 I was delighted to be successful in my application to join the new Indirect Sales team. The business has enormous growth potential and is an exciting and evolving environment.
