Head of Agency Planning and Reporting
The Insolvency Service (The Service) is a Government agency responsible for the administration of the insolvency regime which has a network of 38 offices in England and Wales and Scotland. We process through the Official Receiver’s office all individual insolvencies (bankruptcies) and company insolvencies (compulsory liquidations) in England and Wales. We also seek to disqualify directors of insolvent companies for misconduct; pay redundancy monies owed to employees of insolvent companies; carry out confidential investigations into limited and registered companies not acting in the public interest; and advise the Government on policy relating to insolvency.
This is a new post within the recently formed Strategy, Planning, & Communications Directorate. The successful applicant will manage a small team responsible for taking forwards The Service’s planning and reporting work, developing the Corporate Plan and Balanced Scorecard and reporting on performance at agency level.
This is a high profile post at the heart of The Insolvency Service. The post holder will have the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of The Service.
Starting salary: £49,716 (Insolvency Service Grade D2, BERR Range 10)
Maximum salary: £56,665
Main duties:
- Develop and implement, in consultation with The Service’s Leadership Group, an Agency wide planning process that will support effective forward planning and resource allocation;
- Responsibility for The Service’s Corporate Plan;
- Determine how the Balanced Scorecard could be deployed further across the Agency including the identification of specific reports to meet the needs of The Service’s management boards;
- Overseeing the reporting of Agency level performance data in The Services Annual Report and Accounts, the quarterly report to the Minister as well as to The Service’s management boards; and
- Management of a small team.
