Researchers
As a researcher in one of our specialist practices, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting search assignments – liaising with candidates for important and high-profile roles with leading employers in industry, financial markets, government and public services.
Briefed by one of our Associate Directors and working in conjunction with our Head of Research and existing researchers, you’ll determine the most worthwhile sectors and organisations to target, using initiative and reason to identify those individuals whose skill sets and career aspirations would be most relevant to their client’s requirements. Making initial approaches by telephone, you’ll sound out potential candidates, promoting specific opportunities before assessing each match and helping consultants to prepare shortlist reports.
On each research exercise, you’ll learn from some of the search industry’s most talented and inspiring players, building your negotiation, business development and sector analysis skills. Should you wish to move onto consultancy – winning and managing client accounts – your stint in research will prove invaluable training; if you decide to remain in research, you’ll have the opportunity to influence and progress within a function that’s critical to Hays Executive’s growth strategy.
You’ll need an enquiring mind, the confidence and assertiveness to engage with candidates at the highest level and an ability to multitask within the framework of various competing project deadlines.
