Head of Research
This vital new role is critical to the effectiveness with which our consultants can deliver to clients. You will manage your own portfolio of assignments, working closely with consultants and directors to identify potential candidates.
Your ongoing remit is to recruit and train a team of enthusiastic, intelligent and highly capable researchers. You will initially act as the first point of contact for our consultants, defining thorough and workable briefs and ensuring the right researcher is tasked with the job. Leading by example, you’ll help make approaches to relevant potential candidates. That initial contact is critical to how those candidates regard Hays Executive – meaning our researchers have to be absolutely first-class at their job for our reputation to be maintained.
Some of your recruits may go on to become consultants in one of our specialist practices; others may prefer to play to their strengths and further develop their research skills, perhaps specialising in a niche sector.
Whether your background is in recruitment or research, you’ll need to demonstrate excellent briefing skills, as well as the patience and perseverance to build up your team’s confidence, ability and willingness to think outside the box.
