Case Study: LICI UK
Scenario
Life Insurance Corporation of India UK (LICIUK) was looking for a UK sales manager based in London to manage their expanding team of financial advisors.
The company had experienced some difficulty finding the right candidates with the specific financial skill sets. The successful candidate had to be FPC3 qualified; they were also required to speak an Indian dialect, this being the companies core target market.
After advertising in National/Financial newspapers and the traditional recruitment method had been exhausted LICIUK approached Hays Candidate Attraction Solution (CAS).
Solution
The CAS team recommended the Sales Direct model, which was made up of an online candidate attraction campaign, a campaign site (hosted on Hay.com/sales for two months), which showcased the opportunity and provided a single point of application and allowed LICIUK to convey a consistent message. In order to drive traffic to the site, logo and branded adverts were placed on Hays.com and five external job boards.
Due to specific skill and personality sets required, bespoke filter questions allowed LICIUK to rank and identify suitable candidates for interview quickly and efficiently. The web based back office management information system provided real time access to the application insuring speed and efficiency of the process.
Result
Within the first week, LICIUK had a steady flow of candidates, with a total of 78 applicants, which led to 3 interviews and an offer of employment to start at the beginning of March.
LICIUK really enjoyed the speed of the process and ease of use in managing the applicants; they were also impressed that candidates who did not fit the criteria and rejected applicants immediately received an email letter ensuring communication with successful and unsuccessful candidates alike.Most of all the “sales Direct Model” provided LICIUK with their new Sales Manager at a 40% reduction in cost against the tradition Recruitment method.
Hays CAS are now running their second Sales Direct Model for LICIUK to recruit 5 financial advisors using exactly the same method.
