Case Study: HDC Optical Media Group
Scenario
Due to expansion HDC Optical Media were looking to recruit a Sales executive to be based out of offices in Bradford The company had experienced difficulty in attracting the right calibre of candidate in the Bradford area
Attempts to advertise and recruit locally had failed and the client was keen to deploy a candidate attraction campaign to generate applicants in adequate volume and ideally with industry knowledge
Solution
A campaign site was designed, built and hosted on Hays.com for the duration of the campaign to showcase the opportunity and provide the sole point of application, ensuring candidates received an attractive, consistent and informative application experience
To improve the quality of applications, candidates were invited to complete a number of basic filter questions to ensure eligibility to work and then a series of experience / industry specific questions on which candidates were graded
All candidates were then stored in the Sales Direct back office system from which the client could review all application forms, cv’s and success on the scoreable filter questions
Result
Within 4 weeks of the campaign site going live a suitable candidate was attracted and offered the role
The client particularly enjoyed the levels of control this form of recruitment offered – the applicant back office software was accessible 24 hours a day and allowed simple candidate management at a time that suited the client
As the Sales Direct recruitment model is predominantly automated through its advertising and online filtering / management, the client enjoyed savings of over 40% compared to traditional recruitment campaigns using a recruitment agency
