Scenario

Rapid growth and subsequent competition coupled with the increase in internet based information portals resulted in Fair Haven Holiday Cottages need to recruit another account manager.

Having taken over the business a year ago they were in the process of re-branding and increasing their product range, hence the need for a self motivated, sales orientated individual to account manage their existing clientele and become involved in the expansions of the business. The key problem was the location of the role.

Recruiting across the Hampshire/West-Sussex border where there is not a rich flow of candidates combined with the fact that there is a skill shortage in the market place for this type of candidate.

Solution

Fair Haven Holiday cottages were recommended the “Hays Sales Direct” Solution. This provided them with a two-page campaign site; show casing their company information and details of the job opportunity at the same time providing a home for all the recruitment to be channeled through.

This was hosted on the front page of www.hays.com/sales In order to drive additional traffic to the vacancy and target a wider marketplace of candidates the job advert was placed on a range of five external job boards. Logo & branded e-shots were sent to candidates on the Hays database and to the www.monster.co.uk candidate pool.

Behind the campaign site sat the back office response management system. This was made up of a page containing the bespoke filtering questions ensuring each candidate was taken through a uniform application process. It also enabled Fair Haven Holiday cottages to have instant access to the candidates which meant they could review their details instantly hence increasing their speed in time to hire.

Result

Over nineteen candidates applied, 6 were reviewed by the client and 2 requested for interview. After just three weeks the suitable candidate was offered the role as Account Manager and is commencing work next week (4 weeks after the campaign commenced).

All in all Fairhaven Cottages were delighted with the service they received from the “Hays Sales Direct” account manager. The response management system allowed them complete control over their recruitment and transparency process from start to fruition.
