Harrop Fold school is growing in popularity and success. There have been rapid changes and improvement in recent years which is revealed in increased exam success and student involvement.
We believe passionately that every child matters and that it is the responsibility of all adults to improve the quality of life of our young people.
Our vision is to work together to create a healthy, safe and enjoyable school where all young people and their families and communities are valued: a school where they can make a positive contribution and gain economic well-being whilst achieving their full potential.
To help us achieve our vision we have developed a system of working in partnership that puts young people and families at the centre of everything we do.
Our young people have told us that five outcomes are key to well-being:

- Enjoy and achieve
- Make a positive contribution
- Achieve economic well-being
The Government’s ambition is to improve these outcomes for all young people and to narrow the gap in outcomes between those who do well and those who do not.
We support this at Harrop Fold and we believe this is achieved not just by providing more opportunities and support to our young people but also by challenging them. We strive to strike the right balance between rights and responsibilities, appreciating the enormous contribution that young people can make while expecting them in return to appreciate and respect the opportunities available to them.
We now look forward to meeting those teachers who are not just teachers of subjects but those who are teachers of children.
