Gardiner & Theobald has acted as cost manager on various phases of the upgrading of the Lyric Theatre, including: refurbishment of existing auditorium, replacement of seats, carpet and redecoration; refurbishment of main foyer toilets; removal of existing suspended ceiling system in foyers and redecoration; removal and replacement of main foyer bar and provision of new office space.
A new part of the revamp of the theatre started on site in early 2003. This £2.6 million project involves moving the entrance of the theatre to a more prominent position and installing an educational facility and rehearsal rooms.
