Bullring, Birmingham
Bullring, a £500 million retail redevelopment in the heart of Birmingham City Centre, opened its doors to the public on 4 September 2003. The scheme, which provides over 1.2 million square feet of retail space to house over 150 new retail outlets, is the largest retail redevelopment project to take place in Europe in the last decade. Bullring started on site back in June 1999 with a series of enabling works contracts which included the provision of a market hall to house existing Bullring market traders, two demolition contracts and a complex series of highway contracts including road realignment, replanning and new build to reroute traffic around the site area.
