Our Challenges
We are transforming CIT so that it becomes a world-class professional IS/IT organisation, which is more highly skilled and focused on performance and on servicing the needs of the Department, its businesses and its customers. This transformation requires a continuing improvement in our approach, processes, abilities and delivery.
We are working with the Department's IT suppliers to help them develop a model for the delivery of world-class services, to improve DWP's capability to access the IT marketplace and to drive up supplier performance and value for money through revitalised supplier relationships and the appropriate use of competitive pressure.
This transformation will enable us to deliver better IT services, at a far lower cost, with fewer people and significantly better value for money.
Over the next three years we face five key challenges:
- Business Value Creation
- Cost Management
- World-Class Services
- Technology
- People and Organisation
In achieving all this there is a unique opportunity for DWP to enable government to establish a positive reputation for successful IT delivery.
