Our Company

DVS is the commercial arm of the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) and provides professional property advice to a wide range of public sector clients. We have recently undergone a major re-organisation aimed at creating a sound platform for growing and diversifying the business. As a result, the majority of our work is now focused on 5 main sectors:

• Central government departments, agencies and NDPBs
• Regional, local and devolved government in England Scotland and Wales
• Health services
• Transport and infrastructure services
• Environmental services

DVS employs approximately 500 staff, including a large number of Chartered Surveyors and property specialists, who also currently provide valuation work for HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) in relation to tax.

Our commercial work accounts for between £18 - £20 million of income each year from public sector clients, and we are looking to grow that income significantly over the next few years. While we have a number of large, existing contracts, each year we also generate a significant number of one-off commissions.
