We aim to deal with any concerns raised by parents or the public appropriately and swiftly, wherever possible through reaching a consensus view. Should it be necessary, however, a Complaints Procedure is in place.

We are proud to have achieved the award of ‘Investor of People’ for the third time as it demonstrates to all how much we value and appreciate our staff.

Our vision for Durrington High School is to work in partnership to further develop a community where students are keen to learn and staff are excited about their work; an environment where ideas are valued and potential realised.

We are an inclusive school committed to equality of opportunity. We wish to work with all stakeholders to pursue high quality vocational and academic programmes, which have clear links and pathways to further learning and the world of work.

The school values the differences that all individuals bring with them, which enrich our school community and partnership.

Durrington High School has recently been designated as a Specialist School in Business and Enterprise. This significant achievement will enhance our drive to raise standards by providing a focus for development and attracting additional Government funding. Emphasis raising students’ ICT, numeracy and enterprise skills and forging links with local schools and colleges, businesses and community groups.

Our spacious grounds and light, purpose-built facilities are fully equipped to deliver exciting and challenging opportunities. In this way we prepare students to be independent learners and thoughtful citizens ready to face the challenges of the future.

In order for potential to be realised a strong partnership between students, school and home must be in place. Where mutual respect, a readiness to learn high expectations are shared by everyone, an environment is created in which every child may feel secure and encouraged to achieve their personal best.

Durrington is a school going places. We look forward to sharing the journey with you.
