You might not have heard of us but we are sure that you benefit every day from what we do. The car you drive, the food in your kitchen, or the fruit and vegetables in your supermarkets….still wondering who we are?
Well, CHEP is the global leader in pallet and container pooling services, supplying global organisations such as Procter & Gamble, Esso, Shell, Kellogs, Kraft, Nestle, Ford and GM. By supplying our customers with our pallets and containers, CHEP supports the global supply chain every day which is why we are proud of our motto:
“Handling the World’s Most Important Products. everyday
CHEP employs more than 7,000 people across 45 countries and continues to grow year on year. We have recently opened offices in Poland, China and India, and are continually looking for new markets to develop into.
“The more I learned about the company, the better it sounded,”
The CHEP Graduate Scheme is a two to three year programme that combines placements within some of our key functions with ongoing support from a focused training plan based around your own strengths and development needs.
What are your environmental values?
Across the entire organisation, environmental responsibilities are taken very seriously. As one of the largest purchasers of timber globally, we strive to ensure our timber comes from sustainable forests. Through our business model, our assets are pooled between many customers which reduces wastage, and because we regularly repair and maintain our pallets they can have a life span of 10 years. We have recently conducted a study with Leeds University to confirm that if customers use our pallets rather than returnable white wood pallets, even within the scope of only 100,000 pallet movements, they would save 9,400 trees - equal to 55 football pitches!
