About Me

I was born in Peru and completed my first degree in Business Administration at the University of Lima where I graduated with Honours.    After spending three years working for the first logistics operator in Peru and a leading Latin American 3PL, I was offered the opportunity to lead a new 3PL Branch in Colombia.  I decided to accept the challenge straight away.  I knew that it was going to be difficult.  However, I also knew that the experience of opening and leading a new branch for a company was going to help me grow even more as a professional.

On a personal basis, I have had the chance to represent my country playing Hockey for the Peruvian National Team in two South American Games and had the honour to get the first Medal for Peru in all Hockey History. That experience of playing as a team has, I believe, helped me in my career because team work is a key pillar in any business and industry all over the world

Working Life

I was studying an MSc. in Logistics & Supply Chain Management at Cranfield School of Management in the UK and CHEP attended the Careers Fair. I was short listed to attend the first round of interviews. The enthusiasm shown by the recruiter in the interview and the key role that CHEP plays in the FMCG supply chain hooked me and then I decided to go for it.

I was assigned to the central management team of one of CHEP’s key functions based at the European head office in Weybridge.  I was given my first role as a Project Manager working on the change of Teleservice Provider in Lisbon.
More recently I have been driving a major project to centralise the “planning and administration” functions in Asset Management to Spain.  It has been a great opportunity to work with colleagues from right across Europe and make a significant difference very quickly.  Leading this project has enabled me to understand the challenges that leading cutting edge companies such as CHEP have when centralising operations.

I believe CHEP is a company that values the effort of their employees by giving great opportunities to those that are ready to never stop learning and that always want to challenge themselves on a daily basis.
