Welcome to Chase High School

Chase High opened in September 2006 with a newly appointed staff team of highly qualified professionals.

Our mission is:
“To provide an inspirational and supportive learning, working and social environment, where everyone strives to achieve their full potential and where excellence is encouraged, valued and respected by all”.

We will open a new sixth form from September 2008. There is a major building project planned for 2007-2008 that will provide an independent learning centre, new cafeteria, and performing arts facilities including: a dance/drama studio; music classrooms and practice rooms; art, textiles and media rooms.

We are also applying for Specialist status in the areas of Enterprise and Sport and are in the process of submitting bids to extent the range of resources in and out of the school.

We have ambitious plans to extend and improve our facilities for sport. Our focus is on increasing participation and improving the health and well-being, self-esteem and motivation of all students. We believe they have the ability to achieve highly and contribute to society as mature and responsible citizens.

Students are provided with many responsibilities and take an active role in the organisation of the school. They respond very well and relish the opportunities provided. We have secured international links with schools in China, Ghana, Helsinki and the USA. We have used these to develop innovatory learning opportunities for students and staff.

We are committed to the professional development of all our staff and provide varied and interesting opportunities for them to enhance their professional skills. All teaching staff are provided with a laptop.

We have an interesting curriculum that caters for Personalised Learning for students. Our Inclusion Team supports our most vulnerable students.
