Job Description:

  • Do you have excellent customer service skills?
  • Would you prefer to escape the office and be out and about working in the fresh air and visiting customers' premises?

  • Are you a practical problem solver with a flexible approach to work?

In order to service the nation and offer a reliable and quality network, BT is looking to develop highly motivated individuals with strong communication skills who are able to problem solve and are practical and flexible in their approach to work.

Skills:

All you need is:

  • Aptitude to undergo and assimilate the training required for the role
  • A professional helpful and positive approach to work
  • Great customer handling skills
  • Team working skills
  • Fluent level of spoken and written English
  • Good physical fitness, manual dexterity and with good eyesight with correction and no evidence of colour blindness
  • Capability to use a laptop PC
  • A Flexible approach to attendance patterns
  • A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

In return, BT will provide you with full training, a vehicle, tools and uniform so that you can be a real champion for their customers and represent BT professionally at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • The provision and repair of telephone lines within customers' premises and BT's underground/overhead network
  • Working both indoors and outdoors and at heights
  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Working either singly or in teams that are mobile within a defined geographical area

The role will sit within Openreach, the new part of BT created to install and maintain the connections, fibres and wiring linking millions of homes and businesses in Britain to their communications providers’ networks.
