About the School

Brittons School is very proud of its success in achieving the prestigious Investors in People Standard, which demonstrates to others that we believe in and recognise the value of staff, their performance and their contribution to the success of our school.

Brittons is a co-educational 11 to 16 comprehensive school with a maximum intake of 230 Year 7 Students. It is set in its own grounds and playing fields of 19 acres. Although most students admitted to the school live in the Borough of Havering, such is the School’s increased reputation that a growing number are entering from outside the School’s traditional catchment area.

Brittons' Technology College status means that we are specifically committed to raising standards of achievement in Technology, Science, Mathematics and Information Communication Technology for all students irrespective of ability.

The School is committed to being an active partner in a learning society with a local family of schools, sharing resources and developing and sharing good practice.

Overall, we seek to provide a secure and stimulating environment. Every student is seen as an individual and encouraged to develop his or her intellectual, creative and social abilities to the full within a caring community. We provide a broad and varied curriculum, which offers opportunities for each student to achieve his or her potential.
