Message from David Jones Headteacher

I joined Bognor Regis Community College in September 2007 and have found this school to be an excellent place to work, with extremely supportive colleagues making every effort to provide the best for our students and staff. I am quite determined that BRCC will serve the children, young people and wider community of Bognor Regis as an outstanding centre for learning.

“Exciting times ahead” was the headline in a recent Chichester Observer feature on Bognor Regis Community College. This referred not only to the complete rebuild of the school for 2010, but also our plans for the development of the curriculum, and of the services which support the students throughout their time at this 11-18 mixed specialist sports college.

At heart, BRCC is strong. I am looking to recruit innovative and determined professional colleagues to help move the college forwards. Through mentoring, coaching, careful evaluation and hard work I am confident that we can build ever stronger teams that will ensure the college regains the leading position it held for many years. There are challenges at BRCC but these are outweighed by outstanding opportunities for successful teaching and development.

We are both proud and excited to be the BSF (building schools for the future) pathfinder school for West Sussex, This project is well underway and a £39 million new build will see a completely new school opening in September 2010.
