Combining the power of the Barclays and Woolwich brands, UK Bank provides a wide range of products and services to 14 million personal customers in the UK.
Our aim is always to make it easy for our customers to do business with us. With this in mind, we offer a wide range of financial services and products to personal customers. The Woolwich
Now part of Personal Customers, The Woolwich is a predominantly UK-based financial services business, acquired by Barclays in 2000. Since then, the two businesses have been successfully integrated whilst ensuring The Woolwich remains a strong and vibrant brand in its own right.
The Woolwich is the name behind a broad spectrum of personal financial services such as savings, mortgages and the award-winning Open plan account. Anytime, anywhere banking is also a reality for Woolwich customers who can use multi-channel banking facilities such as the Internet, digital TV, telephone banking and high street branches.
Premier Banking
Premier Banking looks after UK affluent clients with an income of over £60,000 or investible assets of £70,000. The service is aimed at being a real wealth manager offering relationship management, dedicated telephone and online banking, as well as quality banking and investment products (such as low overdraft rates, fee and interest free overdrafts, offset mortgages, commodity based bonds etc).

Originally founded in 1989 under the name Woolwich Independent Financial Advisory Services, Barclays Financial Planning Limited was formed in 2003. Its' large team of Financial Planning Managers offer guidance on a wide range of investments, life and pensions, chosen from a carefully selected panel of products and providers, as well as general financial planning to Barclays and Woolwich customers.
Barclays Financial Management
Tied financial advice is the practice of advising on products and services from one particular provider. Barclays Financial Management provides financial advice for retail customers, having teamed up with Legal and General to offer a comprehensive range of investment and protection products.
Sedgwick and Gerrard Financial Services
Sedgwick has a regulated sales force delivering independent financial advice to corporate customers.
Gerrard Financial Services Limited can offer specialist independent advice on a range of personal financial matters - for example, help with your pension, how to mitigate the effects of inheritance tax and the most appropriate way to protect your assets.
