Larger Business customers normally have their own Financial Controller or Director, and usually need a more comprehensive range of products and services. The complex nature of their business may require support from the Specialist Sales Teams; for example, the customer may be a multinational company operating in several countries.
As many Larger Business clients are parented, operating or trading outside the UK , Business Banking has dedicated relationship teams in France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and New York.
Medium Business and Agriculture
Comprises established and owner-managed businesses with small workforces and a strong customer base, such as firms of solicitors or retailers
Small Business and Business Direct
Small Business assists start-ups, sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and franchises. Business Direct is a telephone and internet banking service that enables small business owners to use banking facilities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Asset and Sales Financing
Specialises in helping corporate customers to release money tied up in the sales ledger to develop business, while also providing leasing & hire purchase facilities. In addition, it provides venture capital through Barclays Ventures.
