At work, Roland is a natural: he gives excellent customer service to his guests, making sure that their orders are processed promptly and that food arrives in good time.

Roland’s cheerful personality shines through whether he is dealing with customers or other team members, and he is always pleasant to work with. He makes sure to approach his mentor with any queries or issues that he might be experiencing so that they can work things through together.

Roland has worked hard on his communication skills, making an extra effort to improve his proficiency in the English language. His work is always of a high standard and he is popular with his colleagues who regard him as someone who sets a good example to others who have a customer-facing role.

About Apprenticeships


Apprenticeships are nationally designed training programmes. They offer employees the opportunity to enhance their skills through a combination of work-based learning and training.

There are two levels of Apprenticeship available:

  • Apprenticeship (Level 2)
  • Advance Apprenticeship (Level 3)

Both programmes lead to a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ), a Key Skills Qualification and in certain areas, a Technical Certificate Award.
