Introduction
Asteral is the leading vendor-independent Managed Equipment Services (MES) provider to the NHS.
Asteral offers a planned and coordinated approach to the purchase, installation, training, management and maintenance of medical equipment on a long term basis, typically as part of a PPP/PFI framework. In doing so, Asteral offers numerous benefits to the NHS by delivering financial gains, an increased standard of care as well as operational efficiencies.
Asteral is a rapidly expanding business. Since 2002 Asteral has won 5 major MES contracts with total contracted revenues of £380million.
Asteral was previously called AssetCo Healthcare. We changed our name and re-branded in early 2006. The new identity underlined our strategic move to focus solely on the effective and efficient provision of medical equipment solutions to the NHS.
