Age Concern Gwent is the leading Charity supporting older people throughout the five authorities of Gwent – Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen. Our support workers, managers and administrative staff provide a wide variety of services including help and support for patients discharged from hospital, advocacy and information, domestic help, respite for carers, information about, and help with, benefit applications and befrienders. Our annual budget is over 1.8m. Every year we assist over 18000 older people across Gwent.
Our volunteers help with a wide range of services including befriending, helping older patients on local hospital wards and trustee positions on our management board.
From our busy office in Newport town centre, we deal with a wide range of enquiries from the public in person and on the telephone. The core of our Organisation is based here including Finance and Human Resources.
