Diversity and Equality
Diversity and Equality 3rd December 2008
Cavendish Conference centre, London W1G 9DT
The Equality Bill is expected to throw up fresh challenges for employers. Public sector employers and private firms going for state contracts will be forced to publish diversity figures and employment tribunals will have greater powers to act in discrimination cases. Alongside this is the continuing challenge of equal pay. Recent figures show that equal pay has overtaken unfair dismissal for the first time as the most popular grounds for tribunal claims passed to ACAS for consultation. Yet against this backdrop of legislation employers are still striving to establish fair and inclusive organisations. This conference will look at the legal challenges ahead and share the latest examples of best practice.
