Event Synopsis
The last year has seen more announcements of collective redundancies in both the public and private sectors, with accompanying protests from trade unions. This conference will show how organisations are rising to one of the most emotive HR challenges.
Expert legal speakers will advise on developments in case law in the range of complex employment law surrounding the issue from the duty to consult to the timing of announcements and the duration of consultation.
Practitioners and experts will discuss good practice on how to assess the need for redundancies, consulting with staff representatives, communicating the message, selecting which positions to make redundant, outplacement counselling and dealing with the survivors.
