The 2007 Award for Innovation in Recruitment and Retention – sponsored once again by Hays Human Resources – was won by the Royal Bank of Scotland.
More than 1,250 guests attended the 2007 Personnel Today Awards – the most important date in the HR year – at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on 22 November. The event was hosted by comedian Rory Bremner.
Innovation in Recruitment and Retention
The award recognizes effective approaches to selection, recruitment and retention of employees. It looks to successful examples of developing and motivating staff and for innovative ways of attracting the right applicants.
Relevant to this category are new methods of recruiting, measuring and assessing capability and performance, career management, succession planning and competency testing. Evidence is also sought of how the organisation has gained a competitive advantage from the strategies implemented.
