QVC (Retail)

Brief
QVC required a specialist Planner with experience in the Fashion and Beauty sector.

Solution
QVC had used other agencies previously, but had experienced difficulty in finding a suitable level of candidate at the right salary. QVC needed someone with transferable skills and approached Hays Retail in order to source and identify a shortlist of appropriately skilled candidates.

Sage (IT/Software)

Scenario
Sage is the leading accounting software provider to the SME and Professional Services community. To expand sales into new markets they required two Area Sales Managers - who could be based anywhere in the country.

The role required extensive experience of New Business Development, experience in selling software solutions and a thorough knowledge of Accountancy. Sage had been unsuccessfully searching for the right candidates for a number of months through traditional methods of sourcing i.e. advertising and agencies.

Solution
A Top Job Gold was proposed and posted to the following boards; Total Jobs, Monster, Simply Sales, Sales Vacancies, Sales Target and Accounting Web .

Result
In all over 400 candidates applied, and a shortlist of 12 candidates was prepared. 8 candidates were interviewed and one candidate appointed. The other position was put on hold. The successful candidate was a qualified accountant, with software solutions sales experience and he was immediately available.

Arenal 2000 (Property)

Scenario
As the leading property developer in the South of Spain and in order to capitalise on the exponential rise in demand for Spanish property Arenal 2000 were looking to establish a team of Account Managers in key locations across the UK. Prior to coming to Hays Arenal 2000 had used local agencies within target areas that had limited to no national coverage.

They had however been unable to provide a national co-ordinated recruitment process where the client would have one point of contact Due to the tight timescales (Arenal wanted to launch it’s sales team simultaneously throughout the UK within one month of commencement of the assignment), the poor response from local agencies and also location of client (Malaga Spain) a Top Job Gold was suggested as being the most effective and efficient means of attracting active candidates in the current market

Solution
Recommended Top Job Gold - focusing on Greater London but with advert specifying need for Account Managers throughout the UK No prior success in recruiting for these types of roles - As first campaign in Midlands The following job boards were used for this Top Job Gold campaign: Jobsite, Monster, Top Jobs, Total Jobs, Work Thing and Hays.com.

Result
There was a fantastic response to this campaign, with over 900 viewings and over 80 applications Due to the overwhelming response received, 5 successful placements were made The client was delighted with the quality of candidates with relevant industry background and were impressed that Hays have been able to source candidates throughout the UK Most effective way to recruit nationally for Field Sales roles or Account Managers.

Tornado Wire Ltd (Manufacturing)

Scenario
New role created due to expansion within the company. The client was looking for a new approach and want Hays to supply innovative ideas on attracting the best candidates in the market place.

Solution
Internet Services sold a Top Job Gold at £2,000 to the client due to the exposure the advert and the speed in which adverts are uploaded onto the job boards. For the TJG the job boards we picked were Jobsite, Monster, TopJobs, Telegraph & WorkThing as they were looking for someone with a strong IT background.

Result
The Top Job Gold resulted in 115 applications received of which 10 were shortlisted. One successful placement made which came from the TJG. There has been another role for an Export Sales Executive. Hays Sales & Marketing again filled this position from selling another TJG. Client was exceptionally impressed with our advertising offering and overall solutions that we recommended and would always consider more moving forward.

Stoneridge Electronics (Engineering)

Scenario
The client was looking to recruit 2 candidates for the Regional Sales Manager position One would be based in the Yorkshire - Lincoln area and the other in the South Yorkshire and Midlands area The headquarters is based in Scotland and attracting candidates has been quite difficult on a tight budget

Solution
A Top Job Gold was recommended to the client due to the exposure that would be needed and also the quick turnaround that was needed for this role. A Top Job Gold was best for this role as the job boards would be a mixture of generalist and specialist job boards, ensuring that the right type of candidate was found The job boards that were used for this campaign included: Jobsite, Monster, TopJobs, TotalJobs, Workthing and Hays.com.

Result
The Top Job Gold generated over 200 viewings As a result of the campaign 2 successful placements were made.
