Highways Magazine Excellence Awards 2007
The Highways Magazine Excellence Awards 2007 took place on 31October and the event was attended by guest of honour Tom Harris, Parliamentary under Secretary for Transport.
Since its launch four years ago, the awards have celebrated those products and services that demonstrate excellence and innovation within the engineering industry.
Atkins wins 'Consultant of the Year'
Hays Consulting Engineering, which specialises in recruiting for civil engineering jobs, was pleased to sponsor the 'Consultant of the Year' category which was won by Atkins.
The judges felt Atkins had demonstrated innovative, cost effective, reliable and robust methods to minimise damage to environmentally sensitive sites during their contract with Somerset Highways.

- Project Centre
Mike McNally, director of Hays Consulting Engineering, commented: ‘‘Once again, this year’s awards were a great success.
