About Piping Engineering
Piping Design Engineers are responsible for the design of mechanical and piping equipment for the petrochemical, nuclear, water treatment and oil & gas industries. They are familiar with CAD and specialist software such as PDS, PDMS, Pipephase and sometimes Caesar II.
Piping Engineers are generally from a Mechanical Engineering background but Chemical Engineers are also common.
Qualifications can be from an HND level in Mechanical Engineering for Technicians to Bachelors degree for Engineers.
Employers place a great deal of emphasis on technical knowledge and interviewees can expect a rigorous technical interview.
