Post Appointment Coaching
The first 100 Days Senior managers and directors often face significant challenges when moving to a new position within an organisation.
This can impact on the time it takes for an individual to make an effective contribution, thus impacting on performance and productivity. Many new senior appointments fail within 12-18 months.
This can be because they fail to understand and adapt to their new organisation’s culture, a lack of clarity of role, and expectations or due to not realising their full potential. The first 100 days are critical to the success of a new appointment and the use of a coach over this period can address these issues directly, supporting the new appointment to perform more effectively and successfully.
The process accelerates the payoff from the company’s investment in recruitment prior to the appointment. At Hays, our experience gained from working at a senior level across corporate, public and SME organisation, provides us with an in-depth understanding of the performance requirements for senior appointments. We recognise the benefits that post appointment coaching can provide and are pleased to offer this valuable service within our Senior Appointments recruitment service.

Whilst each coaching programme is tailored to the needs of the individual, we normally provide four interlinked 1:1 coaching sessions. We usually suggest having one session prior to commencement of the appointment, one after 30 days, one after 60 days and a final one after 90 days.
