Aberdeen City Council Wins APSE Award
Aberdeen City Council has beat tough competition from around the country to win the BST Construction & Building Award in the national APSE (Association for Public Services Excellence) Service Awards 2008, sponsored by Hays Construction, the leading recruiter specialising in construction jobs.
The national awards ceremony was attended by key personnel from across council services in the UK. Launched 12 years ago, the awards are designed to reward local authorities for the excellent services which they deliver and the winners and finalists represent the very best in local government.
Richard Gelder, Director of Hays Construction, says: “We are pleased to sponsor an awards ceremony which recognises the invaluable contribution that local authorities make to the communities and areas that they serve. The competition was strong this year and I would like to congratulate all the finalists.
