Nicole Jean scoops building services bursary
The Hays Building Services and Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) student bursary for 2007 has been awarded to Nicole Jean, a second year student on the BEng Architectural Engineering course at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.
“We are pleased to be involved with a scheme that makes such a significant difference to one student," opines Mike McNally, UK Manager at Hays Building Services, which specialises in recruiting for building services jobs. "It is important that we encourage engineering students to pursue a building services career in the industry upon graduation, so that we can work to reduce the skills shortages."
The bursary fund helps the elected student with their study costs. Nicole was nominated by the School of the Built Environment at Heriot Watt.
"This bursary will make a huge contribution to my accommodation costs. This award has reminded me that there is support available to help me achieve my goals," says Nicole.
