What can contracting offer?

Stay at the forefront of technology
Maximize your knowledge by looking for contracts where you can try different technologies and software. This will give you the broader experience and continual learning that will help you stand out in the market.

Experience different work environments
Try working in different types of company – large and small; construction, banking and financial, life sciences; start up and established. This will not only give you a broader experience on your resume, but it will also help you determine which environment suits you better so when you’re ready to transition to full-time work you can make the best decision.

Show demonstrable skills and results
Contract work is all about problem solving. It usually involves completing a specific project or achieving specific results, which will look great on your resume. Make sure you communicate those achievements on your CV and LinkedIn so potential employers know what you’re able to do.
