Which skills are driving business growth, and who do you need on your team to get those results?
The Hays Tech Talent Guide showed security, mobile, web, database and software development as key business drivers, with more than half of employers saying they planned to increase business activity in the six to 12 months after the survey. It’s an exciting time to be in IT in the US. The telecommunications industry is going through a change, where everything is going web based, creating new challenges and opportunities for IT staff. Employers in the banking & financial services industry are focusing on anti-money laundering, reducing their risk portfolio, and working with sub-sects introducing mobile pay. In the not-for-profit industry, as defense budgets continue to increase, investment in security a main area of focus.
And big data continues to motive companies to find ways to harness the information they now have access to.
