Hear what one industry leader said about second guessing his career.
"I think that is a normal part of human nature," Tony Miliote, Vice President, Tri State Institutional at Shawmut Design and Construction told Hays. "Sometimes you have tough projects where you have to go back to your roots. Sometimes you have to remind yourself why you do it."
Miliote worked in construction from his teens but initially planned to work in finance, before switching majors to Construction Management.
"There are actually a lot of similarities between finance and construction management, but I always enjoyed the human interaction with construction and being able to take pride in what I have built."
Hays is asking VPs of Construction from across the country to describe their education, career path, and advice for ambitious construction professionals.
